The amount of calories burned during marathon/swimming training is monumental and therefore allows for heavy amounts of cost-free caloric intake. However, I would argue that training of that stripe does, in general, cause one to analyze the value and benefits of certain types food more so than the average person not attempting to achieve endurance-related fitness goals.
